6 units minimum in each semester
of their first VCE year |

5 units in each semester of
their second year |

| To be awarded
the VCE a student must satisfactorily complete a
minimum of SIXTEEN UNITS, which include: |

| |
- 3 units from the English group
Foundation English or English Units 1
& 2, English or Literature Units 3 & 4
|
| |
- Three pairs of Units 3 and 4 studies
other than English
(in total, this means Units 3 & 4 English or Literature
PLUS Units 3 & 4 in 3 other subjects)
|
|
VCE/VET qualifications may contribute
up to eight units with two pairs being Units 3/4 studies.
It is possible to complete a Unit 3 and 4 sequence
at Year 11 if the student completed Unit 1 & 2 in
Year 10 and has teacher recommendation to continue.
In exceptional situations students may have the
opportunity to begin a study at a Unit 3 and 4 level
with out completing Units 1 and 2 in the subject.
The aim of this program is to provide students with
the opportunity to excel in their VCE program in
a successful manner and to provide a flexible program,
which will meet the individual needs of students.
